Capsilon’s Professional Services organization provides world-class implementation and consulting services from a team of product and process experts who are focused on customer success. The Implementation Engineer provides consulting expertise to mortgage originators, servicers, and correspondent lenders to determine technology solution objectives relative to a customer’s business plan and industry requirements. The Implementation Engineer acts independently or as a member of a project team responsible for providing technical consulting on complex projects concerning the business impact of implementing Capsilon software and services.

Ideal candidate is a software developer experienced with web and/or desktop application development and hands-on experience with languages such as Java, C#, Soap and RESTful API, and SQL are desired. The most important thing is that we need a person with a professional software developer’s mindset, a passion for solving problems and adapts easily to new technologies. An ideal candidate would have prior experience, but not required, with the mortgage industry.   • As a key contributor on an implementation project team under the direction of the Sr. Solutions Architect, the Implementation Engineer will be responsible for a wide variety of integration, data projects, and troubleshooting implementation and production issues
  • Participate in the “Discovery” phase of the sales and implementation project to expertly research and document customers’ technical business needs related to system design, or business process change
  • Passionate about data and web technologies
  • Familiar with web development frameworks and tools
  • Proficient communication skills (written, verbal, as well as visually through diagrams)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and interact with a variety of APIs
  • Experienced writing SQL and PowerShell scripts
  • Providing documentation and diagrams for complex systems
  •  Synthesize requirements to create clear and comprehensive user stories and solution design documentation
  • Articulate to customer stakeholders the value of recommended solutions and approach
  • Work closely with outside developers who are tasked with building integrations to Capsilon DocVelocity
  • Conduct Enterprise Developer Workshops for Capsilon prospects, or customers who have subscribed to the Developer Support Program
  • Creates or modifies processes and procedures to achieve greater efficiencies and to solve complex business process problems related technical architecture
  • Influences customers, business partners and service providers regarding priorities, hardware/software selection and/or vendor selection
  • Acts as a leader for technical aspects of consulting projects
  • Performs other related duties as required



Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) or academic equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in integrations and implementations
  • 3+ years of experience in technical consulting

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • JavaScript, ASP .NET, C#, Soap and RESTful API
  • Familiarity with technologies commonly used in the mortgage industry, such as Encompass, BytePro, LoanCenter, etc. is a plus
  • Knowledge of the tools, techniques and principles used in application development (REST and SOAP API’s)
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies
  • Experience writing user stories to capture technical requirements
  • Experience in defining and articulating system requirements, writing requirements documentation, business modeling, and process analysis to identify process improvements
  • Expertise in performing gap analysis, with a focus on identifying creative solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Prior experience using cloud-based project tools such as, Smartsheet, LucidChart, General Business Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
  • Willingly shares relevant knowledge and expertise to other resources
