Position Summary

 

The Implementation Consultant leads and manages DocVelocity implementation projects and other consulting engagements. The Implementation Consultant performs hands-on implementation and configuration work, which may involve some coding in XML, to leverage the rich functionality of the DocVelocity API for integration with the customer’s existing Loan Origination System (LOS). In addition, the Implementation Consultant applies his/her domain expertise to offer guidance on industry best practices and consulting advice on business process refinement.

 

The Implementation Consultant also provides guidance and input to Capsilon Product Management as we develop software solutions that leverage data extraction technology to ensure that our software solutions are aligned with customer requirements. And the Implementation Consultant is responsible for assisting the Sales team in developing opportunities for large data extraction projects by advising prospects on how our technology can help them overcome the business challenges that they face.

 

This is a full-time position that can be based at our corporate office in Troy, Michigan or anywhere in the United States, with preference given to candidates in Michigan, southern California, or Texas. Travel (up to 40%) is required to visit customer sites within the United States. Occasional night and weekend work is required to interact with Capsilon’s Product Development and Professional Services teams around the world.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Drive assigned implementation projects through to successful go-live, acting as Engagement Manager and hands-on Lead Implementation Consultant
  • Work closely with the Capsilon Sales team to understand each customer’s unique implementation needs
  • Create Professional Services project plans (using Smartsheet) for new customer onboarding
  • Create and distribute project status reports for each implementation on a regular basis
  • Act as primary point of contact for assigned projects
  • Manage customer expectations at both the executive level and project level to minimize problems and maximize satisfaction
  • Advise customers on best practices for using Capsilon products and services in an efficient and effective manner
  • Collaborate with other Implementation Consultants to maintain/update Professional Services implementation materials
  • Advise Capsilon Product Management on DocVelocity feature requirements to ensure successful implementations
  • Assist Capsilon Sales in positioning the value of Straight-Through Processing solutions to prospects
  • Work with a Capsilon Training Specialist to prepare and conduct a variety of training classes for users, administrators, and help desk personnel as needed

Essential Knowledge and Skills

 

Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) or academic equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in leading and directly managing large-scale mission-critical enterprise software implementations in the banking or financial services realm
  • Experience with all phases of the technology implementation lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, build, testing, go-live)
  • PMI certification (CAPM or PMP) or similar industry-recognized certification is required

 

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Prior experience with XML, SOAP, and SQL is required
  • Broad understanding of cloud technologies
  • Experience in defining and articulating system requirements, writing requirements documentation, and process analysis to identify process improvements
  • Expertise in performing gap analysis, with a focus on identifying creative solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Prior experience using cloud-based project tools such as Salesforce.com, Smartsheet, LucidChart

  • The ideal candidate must exhibit enthusiasm for our product and confidence in our vision when communicating with prospects and customers
  • Prior experience with banking/mortgage business procedures is a plus
  • Must have a legal right to work in the United States
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Ability to travel within the United States, sometimes with little advance notice
